The group is happy to help guide systematic reviews in aerospace medicine.  There is a process we follow to ensure you setup a strong review team, refine a good review question, setup a strong protocol and advise on review methods.  A diagram of the process can be downloaded here.  We normally work with teams that are prepared to conduct the review and consult with us remotely for methods guidance, with organisations that wish to have an intern conduct a review and we can help supervise the project remotely or you can opt to fund a full time three year PhD programme to conduct a series or reviews (and potentially experimental work) on a topic of interest.  The PhD option creates a full time, three year studentship based in our lab and directly supervised by our specialist team with the funder also embedded within the supervision structure, this option normally creates multiple journal article outputs as well as providing an aerospace medicine PhD opportunity.  The student also enjoys access to our laboratories and library.  The PhD option is the best balance between funding inputs and research outputs.  Speak to us by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. If you want to work on a review with the group there is a form to register with the group and help capture the nature of questions that are being refined to systematically review.  Answers to the questions help form protocols for systematic reviews by guiding the determination of relevant populations, interventions and outcomes to include.   Access the form here...

We have created a form that guides the data extraction process for quantitative analysis.  It is based on Cochrane data extraction forms and so will help your work to meet Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews (MECIR) standards for collecting and reporting information about studies included in your review.  Access the tool here...
